In today’s world we see production and consumption is rapidly increasing; thus time becomes an active factor. This factor makes changes both in users and spaces. The change directs us to rethink our personal requirements, activities and choices. In order to specialize, dwelling spaces become more important where user and space interact directly while general requirements such as extended use, place attachment, personalization, etc. are being met. Today, time factor makes a rapid change in user, conversely we see that production of the dwelling space started to become so monotypic that relation between user and space mismatch. These data lead us to argue the dialectic between user and space in architectural environments again.
In this research, the interaction between space and user is configured regarding type and time, while the production of dwelling spaces’ typologic properties are analysed. Accordingly, it is aimed to open up discussion through flexibility in dwelling design process as if the newly dwelling space productions evolve either into a static or dynamic direction. From that point on, a ‘Flexibility Components Matrix’ is being constituted to analyse 10 dwelling projects including flexibility theme and
analyses, evalutions are being made through specified flexibility components.
